India is home to many multinational machine manufacturers supplying to the production lines of many original equipment manufacturers. A South east Asia based manufacturer was setting up an experience centre with display and training areas. The floor needed to have an even orange peel finish.

A discussion with the end users revealed a need for a robust but economically viable flooring system. One of the main points was that the flooring activity was to be completed before the installation of the display machines which were actually going to function during demonstrations.

The machines being heavy and very little space to manoeuvre during installation as compared to a factory, meant abrasion of the finished floor.

End user was advised foam sheet protection of the finished floor while moving machinery and cutting open areas equal to machine dimensions to ensure proper protection during the installation process.

Recommendations and installations

Display and Training area: 3mm self-level pigmented epoxy floor topping followed by 0.3 mm high abrasion resistant and UV stable epoxy floor coating with orange peel finish.
